Large historic home on a big double lot. Although tax records show the house was built in 1895, it is thought the rear portion dates from the mid-nineteenth century. The central hallway houses a unique pine newel post and balustrade. Walls have been sheathed with yellow pine and the upstairs floors are the original heart pine flooring. The detached single care garage (which was probably adapted in the forties) appears to be an original summer kitchen or smokehouse. The original six over six window frames, with the original wavy glass remain along with the original wide shiplap siding and distinctive window surrounds. Many of the original pine two and four paneled doors remain with their original box locks.
